About Savleen

Savleen is a clinical psychologist with experience in treating a wide range of mental health conditions. She is passionate about assisting clients to overcome difficulties and instilling hope, enthusiasm and courage for the future. Her practice is guided by genuine warmth and care for her clients.

Approach

Savleen is dedicated to working collaboratively with her clients and understanding their unique challenges. She focuses on supportively engaging her clients to achieve long-term meaningful change in a non-judgemental, safe, and culturally sensitive environment. She has an insightful approach to therapy and encourages her clients to identify their strengths whilst they compassionately examine and reflect on their lives. Savleen encourages and supports her clients to take an active role in their treatment, to allow them to feel efficacious and empowered to make the changes they need in their own lives. 

Experiences and Interests

Savleen works with individual adults and couples, with a wide range of presenting issues. She has a special interest in working with complex trauma, relationship and attachment issues, personality disorders, grief and loss, and mood/anxiety disorders. She supports her clients to better understand the inner workings of their own mind, life patterns, and to reconnect to their inner values and self-worth.

Therapies

Savleen adopts an integrative approach, tailoring her interventions based on her client’s individual needs. She primarily works from an insight-oriented and trauma-informed framework. Savleen draws on a range of evidence-based interventions, including Schema Therapy (ST), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Interpersonal Therapy (IT), Mindfulness, Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Insight Oriented Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) skills, and Internal Family Systems (IFS).
